A Dangerous Method chronicles a fictionalized version of the life
and times of Dr. Carl Jung (Michael Fassbender) and Dr. Sigmund
Freud (Viggo Mortensen) from about 1904 to 1915 with a special focus
on one of Jung's patients named Sabina Spielrein (Keira Knightley)
who becomes Dr. Jung's mistress for a time. This mistress is a
disturbed young lass who wants to become a shrink in her own right
and successfully completes her studies to do so, but is also
mysteriously turned on sexually by corporal punishment that the now
corrupted Dr. Jung is only too happy to administer himself. Four
stars.
