Albert Nobbs is a movie about a woman, named Albert Nobbs (Glen
Close) who works as a waiter while disguised as a man. Albert has a
dream of getting married and opening a small shop using her savings
that she is accumulating under one of the floorboards in her room.
The movie is hilarious as at various twists and turns we find out
more about the strange characters who inhabit Albert's world. 4
stars.
The movie ranks as nonviolent because it has a total of 12 violent
scenes in just under 2 hours. These scenes include: A man
slips on some stairs, there is a story of a gang attack, there is a
story of a man falling down some stairs, a man has a black eye, a
child is sick, a man throws a chair, there is a story of a plague
striking a town, there is the aftermath of a wife dieing, a woman
spanks a man with a cane, a brief fight breaks out and a man dies.
