Joan Rivers, A Piece of Work R
Documentary
For some reason I didn't find Joan Rivers to be very funny in this
movie, but then again they didn't show much of her comedy act.
What little there was came in bits and pieces so it was hard to
visualize the momentum that was supposed to be occuring in my funny
bone. Still, this movie gives some insight into a year in the life of
Joan Rivers and I must say that she has her work cut out for her. This
movie is rated R because in it Joan Rivers' potty mouth runneth
over. Two stars.
There is only one scene of violence in this movie, when Joan Rivers
gets hit over the head with a breakable object.
The previews included non-violent previews for The American, The Kids
Are All Right and Cairo Time. There was a mostly non-violent
preview for Get Low.
