Cyrus is a low key romantic comedy about a man who is still attached to
his ex-wife who he was divorced from 7 years ago. He is depressed
when he finds out that his ex is getting married again. His ex
invites him to a party where he meets a nice woman and they start a
relationship only to have it rudely interrupted by the woman's 21 year
old son Cyrus who is obsessed with maintaining an exclusive
relationship with his mother. Cyrus has some very good music on cd and
I hope that the movie producers make that available. 4 stars.
There are only 2 scenes that have a violent theme in this movie.
In one scene the man threatens to beat Cyrus up if he disrupts his
ex-wife's wedding. In another scene the man and Cyrus get into a fist
fight or brawl.
The previews included non-violent previews for The Kids are Alright and
Animal Kingdom. Animal Kingdom is likely extremely violent
despite the non-violent preview (a lot of gun toting people were shown
with no shots fired). A preview for Get Low was somewhat violent.
