A financial analyst named Tim (Paul Rudd) gets a dream promotion, but
as part of the deal he must find someone to bring to dinner who would
be characterized as an "idiot". Tim hits mousterpiece artist Barry
(Steve Carrell) with his car when Barry is in the middle of the street
trying to rescue the latest addition to his stuffed mouse
collection. Tim and Barry become fast friends and it is difficult
for Tim to work up the nerve to get Barry to the actual dinner.
Romantic interest is provided by the relationship between Tim and his
would be fiancee Julie as well as a fatal attraction relationship that
Tim has with one of his ex girlfriends. Three stars.
This movie has ten violent scenes: Iron man gets hit by a log,
Tim runs into Barry with his car, woman twists Tim's arm behind his
back, woman flips over table, woman throws wine bottles at Tim, woman
attacks Tim's car, sword fight, man's finger gets cut off, general
fight and a fire gets started.
The previews include the somewhat violent cartoon called The Mouse That
Soared, a violent preview for The Other Guys, somewhat violent previews
for Lottery Ticket and You Again and non-violent previews for The
Switch and Morning Glory.
