Erin (Drew Barrymore) and Garrett (Justin Long) have a six week
long fling in New York before Erin has to head off to college on the
West coast. Before Erin leaves, they decide to make the
relationship a committed one. Later, Erin gets out of school and tries
unsuccessfuly to get a job with a newspaper in New York and Garret has
no luck at getting a job on the West coast. Will these star
crossed lovers remain forever apart or will they find a solution?

There are only two scenes of mild violence in this movie: A door
smashes a man in the face and a woman trips over something at the
office.
