Review for Horrible Bosses   R   1:40

Nick Hendricks (Jason Bateman), Dale Arbus (Charlie Day) and Kurt Buckman (Jason Sudeikis) are best friends who are all employed but who have horrible bosses. Two of the bosses are just plain insensitive jerks who want all the power to themselves.  A third boss is a woman dentist who is blackmailing her underling dental assistant into sleeping with her or she will make trouble for him and his fiancee. One day, after all three have experienced rock bottom events at their workplaces, they decide to plot to kill their bosses. The plot doesn't go as smoothly as they would like and massive hijinks ensue.  The movie is funny only for those people who think that killing is funny.  For others, it's just not.  Two stars.

This movie is rated "iffy" because it has 11 scenes of violence or threats of violence. Some of the of the violence is slapstick, but two people die and one gets shot in the leg.  The violent scenes include: There is a car accident off screen where a man dies of a heart attack, there is a fantasy scene where one guy throws his boss out a window, the guys think about spending their days thinking of ways to kill their bosses, a man threatens another man with a baseball bat, a man collides with a closing garage door, one man shoots another man dead with a gun, a man threatens to kill another man, a man tries to run people down with his car, a man crashes his car into someone's car, a man gets shot in the leg, a man punches another man.

The previews shown with this movie were kind of violent.  They included: a violent preview for Shark Night 3D, a non-violent preview for Our Idiot Brother, a violent preview for Creature, a violent preview for Salmando Perez and a violent preview for The Debt.
