Adam Sandler plays two roles in this comedy. He plays both
Jack and his sister Jill. Jill decides to visit Jack's family
for Thanksgiving and soon starts tearing up the place, getting a
guest appearance on a game show and crashing Jack's jet ski in the
swimming pool. Al Pacino of The Godfather fame stars as
himself. Will Jill meet the man of her dreams or is she just a
loser? Tune in and find out. Two stars.
This movie is iffy because it has 16 violent scenes in it, a few of
which are extensively rough and tumble, such as two fights where the
protagonists suffer a few blows in each fight. The violent
scenes include: glass breaks, a tuba hits a kid, a bird gets slammed
against his cage, a kid punches out a woman, a horse collapses, a
woman gets knocked out, there is an explosion on tv, a jet ski
crashes in a swimming pool, there is a car accident, a golf ball
breaks an Oscar, a woman falls, a ball hits Grandma, a bat hits
Grandma, a woman slugs a man, putting him through a wall, and there
are two brief fights with about three blows in each fight.
The previews include: a violent preview for Journey 2: The
Mysterious Island and nonviolent previews for New Year's Eve, A
Thousand Words and Arthur Christmas.
