Review for Kevin Hart: Laugh At My Pain R  1:28
by  John Thielking
9-23-2011

Kevin Hart may now rank as the new King of Comedy, after beating Eddie Murphy's two day record for ticket sales for his comedy show when it played in Los Angeles as part of his 90 city tour that sold over $15 million in tickets.  In this movie, Mr Hart details some of his life growing up before launching into showing us his comedy act as it was live on stage, followed by a scene where some of his boys in the hood rob a bank. Three stars.

This movie ranks as non-violent because it has only five violent scenes in it.  These include: a story about some violent things that happened at a kid's birthday party, a story about a kid almost drowning in a swimming pool, a story about breaking stuff in a bar, a scuffle during a bank robbery where people are brandishing guns and a man kicks another man in the groin.

The previews included: A violent preview for A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas and non-violent previews for Thunder Soul, Pariah and 50/50.
