Review for Lay The Favorite R Drama 1:43
by  John Thielking

Lay The Favorite chronicles the strange trip to find a job in Las Vegas undertaken by a hometown stripper named Beth Raymer (Wendy Finerman). She hangs out with some bare breasted bikini babes on a roof somewhere while they all discuss how to find Beth a job. Beth eventually settles on working for a high rolling bookie named Dink (Bruce Willis).  Will Beth keep her high rolling job or will Dink fire everyone in a fit of anger over losing a series of bets or will Dink's wife Tulip (Catherine Zeta-Jones) create fireworks that ends Beth's career or will they all get arrested trying to do bookie deals in New York, where sports bets are illegal? Tune in and find out. Three stars.

This movie ranks as being nonviolent because it has only 5 violent scenes in it. These include: a man pulls a gun, there is a boxing match on TV, a man trashes an office, there is a woman laying in bed after being beaten and a man smashes a TV.  There is no smoking in this movie.

The previews include: two nonviolent commercials, nonviolent previews for The Guilt Trip and This Is 40 and violent previews for the too violent movie Identity Thief  and Movie 43.
