My Week With Marilyn is a movie about Director's Assistant Colin
Clark's (Eddie Redmayne's) experience in helping Marilyn Monroe
(Michelle Williams) during a week of filming in Europe. Monroe is
often out of it on prescription drugs or refusing to "act" on the
set because of temperamental issues. Colin steps in to provide
occasional companionship and a bit of a backbone when needed. Others
tell Colin to try not to let his heart get broken in the
process. Three stars.
This movie ranks as nonviolent because it has only three scenes that
can be loosely characterized as violent. There is one scene
where a crowd of reporters and onlookers presses too close and there
are two other scenes where there are verbal arguments.
The previews included a violent preview for The Girl With The Dragon
Tattoo and nonviolent previews for The Artist, The Iron Lady, W/E
and Albert Nobbs.
