NR Romantic Comedy
In another Hindi movie with English subtitles from Bollywood, Amit,
played by Shahid Kapur, and Priya, played by Kareena Kapoor, meet as a
twist of fate predicted by Priya's Auntie using Tarot cards.
Auntie predicts that Priya will meet the love of her life in exactly 7
days at 7AM and that he will be wearing 7 colors. Amit steals
Priya's diary so he can get the scoop on her desires and then even
though Amit drinks and smokes like a frat boy, he tries to pass himself
off in front of Priya as a non-drinking, antismoking zealot. Soon
though, even though he is found out by Priya, Amit swears his true love
to Priya, but she is having none of it at least at first, so they
separate. Will fate draw them together again before each weds someone
else? The Tarot cards aren't much help the second time
around. Three stars.
This movie is almost totally non-violent with four minor exceptions
barely worth mentioning: A man slaps another man, a man faints while
frothing at the mouth, security guards chase after boys who stayed past
curfew and there is a story about a sinner who murdered a man.
The previews include a non-violent preview for We Are Family, a
somewhat violent preview for another movie and at intermission there is
a violent preview for Lamhaa and non-violent previews for Aisha and
Rabba.
