Review for Moneyball PG-13 Drama 2:06
by  John Thielking
9-24-2011

Moneyball stars Brad Pitt as the General Manager Billy Bean of the As baseball team during the 2002 season.  Billy Bean hires a just out of college economics major to help him build the As baseball team by recruiting players based on statistics rather than just the gut feelings of the recruiters.  Will they win the Pennant and/or make a mark on history with this new method?  Tune in and find out.  Three stars.

This movie ranks as non-violent because there are only 6 scenes of mild violence in it.  These include: a man stomps on his cell phone, a player smacks a baseball bat against a wall, a man throws a chair through a window, a man turns over a table, a man uses a baseball bat to turn off a stereo and a man smashes an ice chest.

The previews included: two non-violent commercials, a somewhat violent preview for Johnny English and non-violent previews for 50/50, The Ides Of March and The Rum Diary.
