Ondine 1hr 51min - Rated PG-13 -
Drama/Scifi/Fantasy
Ondine is the girl who came from the water. A fisherman named
Syracuse (Colin Farrell) rescues a woman with amnesea named
Ondine (Alicja Bachleda) who he finds entangled in his fishing
net. His daughter Annie is on kidney dialisys and has a fantasy
about the woman having a special origin from the sea. Annie thinks that
she is a "Selkie" which is a mermaid-like creature from Irish folklore.
There are only six violent scenes in this movie: Someone falls in the
water and has to be rescued, there is a car crash with a dead victim, a
woman is abandoned on a deserted island, drug dealers start a brawl and
guns are pulled, but no shots fired, people are held at gunpoint while
drugs are recovered, and a man thrown overboard drowns.
The previews include non-violent previews for Wild Grass and The Kids
are Alright, a somewhat violent preview for Get Low and a violent
preview for The Girl Who Played With Fire.
