A Good Old Fashioned Orgy is a comedy about a group of friends who
like to hang out at one of the friends' father's houses. They
often hold raging parties where the cops show up and threaten to
shut the party down to avoid having the friends pay a $1000
fine. That sounds like the party ordinance in Santa Cruz, CA.
The friends get word that the father figure wants to sell the house,
so they decide to have one last party at the end of the summer on
Labor Day. The party is supposed to be an orgy involving just their
close friends. Reality does intrude into the last party and it seems
that the participants are more inhibited than planned. Will they get
it on or not? Well you have to see the movie to find
out. Two stars.
This movie ranks as "little or no violence" because there are only 2
violent scenes in it. A man throws a beer that lands near a baby and
a couple are arguing.
The previews were disappointingly violent: There were
non-violent previews for Dirty Girl, Margin Call and Warrior.
There was an extremely violent preview for Killer Elite and a
violent preview for Tower Heist.
