Review for Senna PG-13 Documentary 1:45
by  John Thielking
9-24-2011

Ayrton Senna was a Brazilian Formula One racecar driver who won the world title 3 times before dieing on the racetrack at the Grand Prix of San Marino at the age of 34.  Up until his death, Senna was the idol of Brazil and a hero to his people.  He was never afraid to waive the Brazilian flag after a victory for instance.  This movie is a documentary that chronicles Senna's racing career.  3 stars.

This movie ranks as iffy because it has only 11 violent scenes in it.  There are 10 racetrack accidents shown, two of which are fatal.  There is also a scene of rioting and looting shown briefly.

The previews include: two non-violent commercials, violent previews for The Skin I Live In and Heir Apparent and non-violent previews for The Descendants and A Dangerous Method.
