Toy Story 3 1hr 49min - Rated G
- Animation/Comedy/Action/Adventure
The third installment in the Toy Story series is as entertaining as the
first two. The owner of the toys, Andy, is headed off to college
and must figure out how to dispose of his toys that he no longer needs.
Eventually the toys end upp in Day Care where the kids definitely
do not play nice. There is a pecking order amongst the toys in
day care as well. 4 stars.
This movie has 16 violent scenes, 1/2 of which occur in the first 5-10
minutes, including: A violent cartoon before the main movie called Day
and Night, Potato head robs a train complete with an explosion,
and Potato Head fights with Wally, a bridge for the train blows up, the
train falls off a cliff, a laser beam cuts a car in half,
a death by monkeys bomb goes off looking at first like a nuclear weapon
going off, a violent end for the toysthat are played with at the
daycare center, Buzz lightyear gets captured by hostile toys, Buzz
beats up the rest of the gang in demo mode, toys held prisoner in
cages, monkey guard beats someone in the head, a bird tries to eat
Potato Head, toys get compacted in garbage truck, toys get
pushed by bulldozer into shredder, and toys fall into incinerator.
Previews included non-violent previews for Smurfed, Alpha and Omega and
Secretariat, a somewhat violent preview for Megamind and violent
previews for Dispicable Me and Tangled.
