In What To Expect When You're Expecting, five couples experience
the joys and the ups and downs and occasional disasters that
accompany impending parenthood. One couple (competing food
truck owners) has an unexpected pregnancy after a one night
stand. One parenting and exercise guru has hormonal challenges
and a husband who is competing with his Dad who has a trophy
wife who is having twins, etc. The suspense is rounded out with
a group of Dads who go strolling through the park together, with
their babies in their strollers. Three stars.
This movie ranks as being nonviolent because it has only 7
violent scenes in it. These include: a couple tells
stories of burns and other work injuries, a woman destroys a
cell phone, there is a miscarriage, a go cart crashes into a
pool, a man's toes get run over, there is a fender bender while
parking a car and a kid gets hit in the head with a soda can.
