A widower named Benjamin (Matt Damon) has discipline problems with
his son being kicked out of school. So, in a rather unlikely
scenario, he goes looking for a new place to live and a new school
to send his son to. Why he doesn't just stay put and put his son in
a school in a neighboring district is not explained. In any event,
in his search for a new house, Benjamin stumbles across a run down
estate which just happens to also be a zoo that needs some serious
rehab before it can reopen to the public and try to make up some of
its expenses. His 7 year old daughter falls in love with the place
and so Benjamin is hooked. The movie follows the ups and downs of
this new business venture. Will the zoo open on time or will an act
of God or the actions of an overzealous inspector cause it to shut
its doors forever? Tune in and find out. Five stars.
